How long furmark

Squall Leonhart , Dec 23, As long as your GPU temps max out when running Furmark you don't need to run it longer than 5 or 10 minutes.

Furmark stresses the card 10x more than any game will so if you're gonna have trouble it should be fairly early on in the test.

Don't use the Extreme Burn in test either just in case that's what you did I would advise against it. Watch some game porn. I was told to stress test because i have 30 days to exchange the card so i was told to run a stress test to determine whether or not the card was a keeper.

What if I notice for some reason my card runs very hot hotter than your average ti? A stress test would tell me that quick so i can than exchange it for another. Not at all, Furmark is just nasty. It really depends whether i'm gaming or benching as to how ambitious I get, in general 3d-mark is the most brutal graphics benchmark, if you can get through all of those without instability it should be good in most games. Heaven and especially Valley by contrast seem quite easy but I just find it easy to notice when a GPU starts to trip up in Heaven hence why I use it so much.

They throttle themselves, and you can't turn it off. They still get real hot, but don't get maximum usage in it now. I don't think its a good idea to run that program at all.

Nvidia fixed it pretty quickly by adding a power draw limiter. How long do you run Furmark? Never ever, this piece of software has done more damage to PCs than the millennium bug. I am not a huge advocate of furmark because I suspect that it killed my r9 , but that's a whole other story.
