I have had many AV pickguards over the years that have fitted perfectly straight from the "bag" onto both vintage and AV guitars. Never had to file them down. I clearly stated that the guard required was for an "american Vintage " Jazzmaster yet I received two guards with bridge leg holes different to what is required for an "american Vintage " Jazzmaster and different to each other.
